ABSTRACT
Public expectation, and especially Military expectation, is on tip toe. Some grand scheme of Military reform is about to be hatched. While we irreverently supposed that Lord Panmure was nursing a gouty foot he was in reality sitting upon a number of Military eggs, severally labelled, Military Law, Military Education, Undivided Responsibility, Military Equipment, Promotion without purchase, &c., &c. They are now tolerably warm, and if they do not turn out addles we may expect a rare chicken or two in due course.
