ABSTRACT
An agreement on the United Kingdom’s (UK) withdrawal from the European Union (EU) was finally ratified by the House of Commons in the UK by way of the EU (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020 and by the Council of the EU and the European Parliament in January 2020. It allowed the UK to leave the EU ‘with a deal’ at midnight on 31 January 2020.
