ABSTRACT

Most teachers will be aware of a child in their class who experiences difficulties in any one, or all, of the following aspects of movement:

a lack of understanding of the requirement of the task

a distractible manner

a disposition to be restless and fidgety

an inability to execute a task in a logical and sequential manner resulting in a movement that is disorganised and inefficient

a lack of movement co-ordination (sequence, synchrony and rhythm)

a lack of movement control
