ABSTRACT
Our common point of departure was that we were all patients in a special unit. The majority were operation cases with a uniform stay of ten days: two before and eight after operation. Others were there for observation and treatment. We were a mixed assortment of varying backgrounds, comprising several different nationalities. We numbered just under thirty, all women with the exception of one man. Ages ranged from 14 to around 60.
