ABSTRACT
My attempt to do justice to Bion’s writings will seem to be uneven. However, I shall write a few words at this time about “functions” as they appear in Learning from Experience. I shall not separately discuss Learning from Experience, Attention and Interpretation, Elements of Psycho-Analysis, or Transformations, because their principal contents have been or will be discussed elsewhere in the text under their own respective headings.
