ABSTRACT
“Scoring the Un-Scorable” addresses the challenges of working with heightened texts that don’t conform easily to the demands of Stanislavski’s method(s). In this essay, Porter reveals a highly original, systematic method of scoring texts, such as the Greeks, that eventually leads to objectives and actions. Along the way, actors discover elements that help them connect personally to heightened material in a fun, accessible way.
