ABSTRACT
Data justice is an emerging form of social justice that has become ever more salient as the global information economy emerges. While attention to the use of data in any society is consequential, it is particularly important when dealing with highly vulnerable groups or communities in society. Social workers engaged in transnational practice or international development activities face the challenge of representing those who are even more at risk than the poor and disenfranchised in developed nations. This chapter will deal with data justice issues within the context of social work community and policy practice, with special attention to international and transnational development practice.
