ABSTRACT

The first seven chapters have analyzed, described and interpreted a variety of topics of interest to educators of adults. The first chapter discussed participation of adults in educational activities in the United States while attention was directed in the second chapter to philosophies, purposes and concepts that characterize adult education. Corporate education and the education of adults in the corporate image was discussed in the third chapter. Education of the elderly and literacy education completed the second major divison while research and theory constitute the third major section of the book.
