ABSTRACT
Kindness and generosity can transform people’s lives. Do you agree? I hope you do. It is a positivity that can uplift spirits, motivate students and propel schools forward. More importantly it can bind individuals together in tightly woven ways though a personal circumstance. Think about the last time someone was generous with their time, talent or resources with you. What emotions were stirred up after receiving that thoughtful gift? How was it helpful to you? Now think about something that you did to support someone else. How did being generous make you feel? What you will find is that there is an emotional transaction that takes place between individuals that brings them closer together. So why does this happen? It is because humans have the capacity and an innate desire to be generous. It is important to us because generous educators influence generous students who create a better and more generous world.
