74The last example we shall give, Plate XVII. is so remarkable, that, without informing him whose portrait it was, we put it into the hands of a skilful phrenologist, to try how far it was possible to discover peculiarities of feeling and of character. We were much struck with the description, which has given us a very high opinion of our friend’s skill, as well as of the correctness of the system which we have embraced.
