ABSTRACT
Since 1983 President Ronald Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) has been widely debated. Despite the millions of words that have been written and spoken on the subject, we believe that many key issues have been distorted or misunderstood. The Reagan administration, its critics, and the media all have contributed to a situation that has confused and polarized the issues.
