ABSTRACT
The Soviet Union 1984/85 is the eighth in the series in which the Federal Institute for East European and International Studies in Cologne reports on developments in the Soviet Union. Three comprehensive surveys and 25 essays examine events, problems, and perspectives of Soviet politics, each contribution bearing the mark both of the scholarly competence and insight as well as the specific assessment of the respective author.
