ABSTRACT
In spite of their rejection of speculative plans regarding the future, Marxists cannot dispense with them when called upon to deal with sober realities. This is easily understood when we bear in mind that it is just these projects of the future structure of society, hatched in the head of every Socialist, that make him a Socialist.
