ABSTRACT
By demanding a New International Economic Order (NIEO) the periphery has expressed its strong discontent with the present world economy, and with its own disadvantaged position within the global economic and political framework. These demands for changes, therefore, cover a wide range of topics; practically all aspects of North-South relations. Nevertheless some especially important issues, such as the Common Fund, can be singled out.
