ABSTRACT
I shall be confining myself in this paper to a few comments on (1) the political importance of religion in Germany, (2) the religious importance of politics in Germany, and (3) the religious and moral dimensions of German-American relations. The discussion about peace and security will provide a kind of focal point. 1
