ABSTRACT
This article analyzes the rules relating to fisheries contained in Part V of the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea. 1 The provisions that refer specifically to the fishing regime did not undergo any major changes from their form in the negotiating texts put forward during previous sessions of that important international forum.
