ABSTRACT
As Italian electoral history grows longer, it becomes increasingly possible to characterize the various episodes and place them in different clusters. In doing so, a number of approaches can be used depending on one's inclinations and the specific purpose of the analysis. Without any claim as to the comprehensiveness of the list, I would suggest a few dimensions along which elections can be rated.
