ABSTRACT
The disciplinary origins of human biology or biological anthropology are quite diverse and cross-cut the social and biological sciences. Today, the field is unified by the theoretical framework of human evolution and the concept that behavior and biology interact within human cultures and societies to facilitate adaptation to the environment.
