ABSTRACT
During the last decade, there has been a resurgence of racism in America of an intensity nearly equalling that seen here during the years 1900 to 1920. An educational psychologist, Arthur Jensen, has resurrected the long-abandoned idea that Black/White differences in performance on IQ tests .are primarily the result of differential genetic endoianents.1 A physicist, William Shockley, maintains that people are color-coded for intelligence and success, such that the darker one is, the less intellectually and socially able he could be expected to be. 2 similar views are shared by the psychologists Richard Herrnstein and H.J. Eysenck. 3
