ABSTRACT
Perhaps the first thing to do when estimating demand for systemwide computing is to analyze the demands or needs of users that are pushing against the computing center's resources. In general, I suppose demand could be described as the needs for computing resources as expressed by students, faculty, and administrators. In a system involving more than one campus, system needs are sometimes difficult to discern.
