ABSTRACT
Downing extends an invitation to experiment with the use of video recordings in reflective practices within supervision. She shares case studies from her own experiences as a supervisee and as a supervisor of virtual small groups. The case studies illustrate a variety of ways of using recordings: how we can learn about ourselves as coaches through watching an infant reaching for a toy, or another coach working with their client, or seeing our recorded work through the fresh eyes of others. Reflection questions are offered to the reader toward deepening awareness of what is stirred by this invitation.
