Israel is one of the most favored countries in the world in terms of solar radiation. It is also the country which in 1980 made the greatest active use of solar energy which contribu.ted around 1, 4 percent to a total domest:l, c energy consumption of 7.4 million tons of oil equiyalent (mtoe).
