ABSTRACT
The detailed discussion of development induced displacement and resettlement practice in Bangladesh is discussed in the following chapter. It evaluates existing Government of Bangladesh land acquisition ordinance, development partners requirement, development of strategies as ‘good practices’ for land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation for infrastructure projects in Bangladesh, with special attention to the Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge Project.
