ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to provide an overview and brief discussion of common conditions affecting the upper gastrointestinal (GI) tract (oesophagus, stomach, and upper small intestine), including epidemiology, clinical features, investigation, and principles of management. A brief introduction to pain management in gastrointestinal conditions is also provided.
