ABSTRACT
First-year medical school students study gross anatomy to seriously immerse themselves in the guts and sinews of dead bodies. To enable competence in the diagnosis and treatment of humans’ infrastructures, and to meet their ethical and legal commitment to quality, these prospective professionals study not only the piece-parts of the body-ecosystems, but also pathophysiology—what went wrong.
