ABSTRACT

I completed my school-based studies and my research at Onamulunga Combined School in the Ondangwa region. Through observations during my first and second weeks of teaching my grade-ten lessons, I identified a pedagogical problem. The problem was that some of the male learners were reluctant to participate in group work. When I encountered that problem, I realized that it might affect the learner's results, especially the results of continuous assessment. Therefore, I chose it as the topic of my action research.
