ABSTRACT
This chapter is about teacher education in a country in which teachers experienced various educational systems—precolonial, colonial, and postindependence. The first two systems forced many Namibians, including us, to leave our country as political refugees and to live, study, and work for many years in exile as members of a liberation movement. The last educational system emerged after we moved back to Nambia in 1989.
