ABSTRACT
Apart from their individual contributions, the participants in the Oaxaca 1988 workshop on the Conversion of Tropical Forests to Pastures in Latin America prepared the following recommendations for future research, policy goals, proposed institutional actions, and suggested alternative production systems.
