ABSTRACT
Information, simply stated, is knowledge that is communicated. This applies to information about land as well as information about anything else. The “knowledge” here can pertain to any one of several aspects, attributes, or capabilities associated with the particular land involved. In this paper I consider three aspects of land from the standpoint of information needs and sources. Then, I look at three recent developments that may satisfy land information needs, and briefly examine the issue of access to public information.
