ABSTRACT
Inter-university cooperation is a uniting factor that brings together different people and even different civilizations. It can be initiated by university officials, political leaders, or by individuals, such as professors working in institutions of higher education. It is, perhaps, the only area in which cooperation is carried out between equal partners and without a spirit of domination or hegemony. It is, moreover, of reciprocal benefit. It is explained, perhaps, by the specific nature of the university, where teaching and research are founded on the strict respect of truth and where genuine practice of tolerance and mutual respect is the order of the day.
