ABSTRACT
Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT is a rigorous and dynamic liberal arts institution with 2700 undergraduate and 160 graduate students. The curriculum is broad-based, representing the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences in almost equal measures. While under one third of the undergraduates are science (or interdisciplinary) majors, over 90% of the graduate students are PhD candidates in the natural sciences.
