ABSTRACT
Menara UMNO is a 21-storey, 16,700m2 floor area, commercial development in Georgetown, the capital of the state of Penang and the main city of Pulau Pinang which lies just off the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Situated on a 1920m2 site in a predominantly shopping district, it is comprised of a podium containing a banking hall, an auditorium, and several levels of parking, surmounted by 14 levels of office space, occupied by a range of small to medium-sized organisations (Figures 30.1 and 31.2). Construction was completed in December 1997.
