ABSTRACT

Intra-Latin American relations provide a rich historical, geostrategic, ideological and even domestic political set of puzzles for scholars and policymakers who seek to understand central theoretical questions or regional empirical challenges. Intra-Latin American relations should also draw the attention of analysts with a U.S. focus, however, because they a ect bilateral and regional relations with the United States and extra-regional states and institutions.
