ABSTRACT

For adolescents moving away from home for the fi rst time, the options are vast and the decisions are many. For adolescents with disabilities, the options should be just as vast and the decisions should be equally as important. Choosing and attaining community living outcomes, where to live, with whom to live, and how to assume responsibility for adult activities, is a crucial function of an Individual Education Program (IEP) and transition planning for high school students.
