ABSTRACT

Medicines play a critical role in the prevention, cure, and alleviation of suffering from diseases for billions of people around the globe. They continue to be the mainstay of managing the infectious diseases that continue to devastate low-and middle-income countries (LMIC) while preventing and managing complications associated with chronic diseases that predominate in high-income countries. It cannot be disputed that medicines, as well as vaccines, have made a significant contribution to public health and have changed the course of modern medicine.
