ABSTRACT
Gerd Bayer is a tenured faculty member (Akademischer Rat) in the English department at Erlangen University, Germany. He has published a monograph on John Fowles and nature, “Greener, More Mysterious Processes of Mind”: Natur als Dichtungsprinzip bei John Fowles (2004), and edited or co-edited four books on pop culture and holocaust studies. He is currently working on a monograph on Restoration prose fi ction and genre making, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
