Rowland E. Robinson, a young Quaker child from Rokeby, a farm in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, was very active. He could not sit still in meetings. However, he fi nally willed himself to sit still because he was afraid if he talked out, members of the meeting would think that the “Spirit of Light” was trying to talk through him.
