Dynamical systems are around us. Recent technological advances in drone and robotic technologies contributed to publicity about the increased complexity of today’s systems. However, the fact that a significant percentage of systems around us is inherently nonlinear and difficult to describe has been true for many decades (Thau 1973). What has been changing is the introduction of sophisticated infrastructure that facilitates the evolution of information technology into enormously complex structures. Those structures are increasingly distributed in nature and embedded in almost all civilian and military equipment.
