ABSTRACT
As an intellectual musician, Dukas’s legacy promotes the values that he lived by, demonstrated in this second part of this book, as Dukas is presented as a mentor, a teacher, a friend, and a confidant, as well as an influential composer and critic. The many sides of his creative output (whether compositional, critical, or pedagogical) are read through the act of compositional homage, in the form of a tombeau.
