ABSTRACT
This chapter aims to draw out those aspects that seem to have influenced my direction and the results for my career as a researcher of adolescence. The topics listed in the title reflect themes that began my research career, and that have been interwoven throughout it. I also humbly recognize the roles of recollection and selective memory in writing autobiographically (cf. Cohler, 1982).
