ABSTRACT
Chet Atkins hired Anita Kerr in 1961 to help him with a roster that read like a Billboard popularity chart. It included Hank Snow, Porter Wagoner, Hank Locklin, Jim Reeves, the Browns, Skeeter Davis, Eddy Arnold, Johnnie and Jack, Don Gibson, and others. And Kerr, officially the assistant A&R director, would support them by producing sessions and writing arrangements.
