ABSTRACT

Today, in order to survive and thrive in the workforce, lifelong learning is necessary to acquire twenty-first century skills like problem solving, knowledge management, information technology management, and collaboration. These skills can drive success in a solution-driven environment, assist in the management of knowledge, motivate the development of creative solutions, provide the ability to analytically look at communication technology to interpret messages, and prepare virtual teams for collaboration. Human Resource Development (HRD) needs to react to these changes. Virtual HRD is an emerging field within HRD that has been responding to these changes.
