ABSTRACT
The world today is changing at a pace never seen before in history. The question for this book is – are the values embedded in society able to deal with the myriad problems and challenges posed by globalisation, and if not, how should these values be reconceived? This chapter takes a practical approach to addressing this question by examining the way values are being enshrined in the principles in international environmental law.
