ABSTRACT
Much evidence demonstrates the advantage of civil society participation in World Bank activities. Participation provides key information for the planning of projects and makes programs more sustainable. Usually, projects that include the voices and perspectives of those who will be affected are more effective and efficient. By taking into account different perspectives and opinions, the Bank can better design projects to address real needs and put more efforts where they are needed.
