ABSTRACT

Four of London’s iconic sporting sites-Twickenham, home to the England Rugby Union team; Wimbledon, host of the annual Grand Slam tennis tournament; Lord’s, self-designated as the ‘Home of Cricket’; and Stamford Bridge, the ground of Premiership football team Chelsea-have combined in a marketing exercise, cleverly entitled Sport 4 All Seasons, which off ers discounts to visitors who tour all four venues. Whether the ticket also off ers value for money (it does) is not discussed here. Instead, this chapter will focus on the presentation of sports history in the respective museums associated with each stadium.
