ABSTRACT
In many countries religious groups play an important role in education. These groups often provide various education programs at different levels. They function in a manner similar to stateowned schools and are considered a form of private education. In Vietnam, education programs provided by religious groups have not been as fully developed as those given by their counterparts in many other countries. Currently, only private kindergartens and vocational training schools offer religious instruction.
