ABSTRACT

In 2003, Working on What Works (WOWW) was developed by Insoo Kim Berg and Lee Shilts, Ph.D., as a solution-focused classroom management program that was originally implemented in New River Middle School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The program was designed for facilitators to coach teachers in how to utilize the strategies of SFBT. The goal was to improve the classroom environment by creating a collaborative relationship between the administration, teachers, and students, resulting in students becoming more successful in school. This model is used in schools in the United States and has spread internationally. Currently, the WOWW manual has been translated into multiple languages.
