ABSTRACT
Looking back, say 50 years, the progress in peace and conflict studies is astounding, as evidenced by the chapters in this book. Perhaps one of the most important factors indicative of this progress, present in all chapters, is the use of the word ‘peace’ itself. Peace is used unashamedly, no apology needed, as a subject to be explored in all possible directions, no holds barred.
