ABSTRACT

This chapter expands the reflections on narrative in this collection by considering Twitter, SMS, and movement improvisation. At the heart of it is a project called IntuiTweet that used Twitter as a platform for dance improvisation: tweets were written by small group of dancers to promote kinesthetic and corporeal exchanges in public spaces. The basic qualities of this project are that the bodies were in motion and they were geographically distant; further, they were linked only by a set of improvisatory practices and by Twitter on their mobile devices. The improvisations left traces in the form of words.
