This chapter is based on several discussions between Gunilla Dahlberg (GD) and Peter Moss (PM) about the 1994 paper Förskola och skola – om två skilda traditioner och om visionen om en mötesplats (Preschool and school – two different traditions and the vision of a meeting place) (Dahlberg and Lenz-Taguchi, 1994), which features prominently in the introductory essay.
